When we checked the phone, it had already been reset, and there were no wallet apps left. We still performed data extraction but did not find any data related to wallets, and it was impossible to recover data after a factory reset.

After running the official account for a few days, we received many inquiries from customers about mobile wallets. Below are unified replies to several common situations:
(1) The mnemonic phrase is forgotten, and the phone is lost. Can it be recovered?
You must retrieve the phone, or have a keystore backup, or have the private key exported. If none of these are available, then you'll have to say goodbye to your coins forever — congratulations on contributing to the deflation of cryptocurrencies.
(2) The mnemonic phrase is forgotten, and the wallet has been uninstalled from the phone. Can it be recovered?
If the wallet app was just uninstalled, immediately disconnect from the network and shut down the phone. At this point, there is still some hope for recovery.
If it’s been a few months or even years since the uninstall, the likelihood of recovery becomes smaller and smaller.
(3) The mnemonic phrase is forgotten, and the phone has been factory reset. Can it be recovered?
Same as above. Although this situation is even more difficult than case (2), if the phone was just reset and hasn't been used for a few days, there’s still a slight chance of recovery.
In short, you must have at least one of these: the mnemonic phrase, the phone, a keystore backup, or an exported private key. If you have none of them, recovery is impossible. Some customers say, “I have the address and password.” But that’s like having a key without a lock — how can you open your wallet then?
In fact, the chance of recovery in all three situations mentioned above is very low — basically a last-ditch effort.
So remember:
(1) You must record your mnemonic phrase and password in a notebook, store it in a safe or at a secure location. Don’t leave it randomly — it could be burned, soaked, or thrown away as scrap paper (there are customer examples of all three situations, each involving tens of millions, with the highest being a “small goal”).
(2) Don’t reset your phone casually. Even if you have a new phone, make sure to copy all data to the new one and use it for half a year or a year before resetting the old phone. Moreover, many wallet files cannot be backed up to another phone.
(3) Never uninstall your mobile wallet app — even if you can’t log in or it doesn’t run properly, don’t uninstall it. At least the wallet files are still there; once you uninstall it, all data is gone, and recovery becomes very difficult.
